What Makes Our Hoop Houses Durable

Hoop House

When investing in a hoop house, durability should be your top concern. Will it withstand harsh weather? How long will the materials hold up? Can it support your growing needs for years to come?

A hoop house should be a long-term solution, not a temporary fix. That’s why we build our structures using the strongest materials and most reliable designs.

Built to Last: The Key Features of Our Hoop Houses

High-Quality American-Made Steel for Superior Strength

Our hoop houses are constructed using heavy-duty, galvanized American-made steel parts, ensuring longevity and resilience against the elements. The framework is built with Allied GatorShield tubing, the highest-quality American-made steel tube, designed to resist corrosion and maintain structural integrity over time.

Stronger, More Reliable Structural Connections

Unlike other structures that rely on brace bands and clamps, our hoop houses feature bolted-together structural parts for maximum strength. This creates a more rigid and reliable framework that can handle strong winds and heavy snow loads.

Reinforced Endwalls and Side Curtains

Durability extends beyond the frame. The 11-mil woven poly endwalls and side curtains are designed to withstand wind and wear, ensuring long-lasting protection for your crops.

Wind Resistance with Trusses on Every Bow and Diagonal Supports

Structural reinforcement is key to a long-lasting hoop house. We use triple-gusseted trusses with cross braces that span 22 feet of our 30-foot-wide models.. For our smaller widths, double gusseted trusses offer the same level of reliability. Trusses also serve as an ideal trellising system for tomatoes, cucumbers, and other vining crops while integrating seamlessly with our overhead irrigation system.

In addition, up to 16 diagonal braces at the corners and endwalls further reinforce the structure, preventing sway and ensuring long-term stability.

Secure and Long-Lasting Plastic Attachment System

We use coated wiggle wire which is gentler on the plastic when attaching into the channel. Overhead top plastic is attached using 4’ quick locks that rotate and lock into position, are quicker to install, last longer, and don’t damage the plastic material.

Reliable Ventilation Systems for Long-Term Performance

Ventilation is an important aspect of any hoop house, and we use long-lasting 12V DC ventilation motors for both curtain and louvered vent systems. These motors are reliable and energy-efficient, ensuring consistent airflow to maintain an optimal growing environment season after season.

Invest in a Hoop House That Stands the Test of Time

A hoop house is an investment. With high-quality American-made steel, reinforced trusses, and long-lasting materials, our hoop houses are built to provide years of reliable protection and performance for your crops.
